Every three weeks, I have coffee with a different founder. We discuss our lives, our passions, what we’ve learned, … in an intimate interview, to get to know the person behind the company.

For this thirtieth episode, I spoke with Allan Wille, co-founder of Klipfolio, a real-time dashboard platform for small and medium-sized businesses.

Straight out of college, Allan and two friends started a web qatar whatsapp number data design company that developed one of the world’s smallest Java runtimes, raised significant funding, and went public. He then took the lessons learned from that company and created Klipfolio.

Jeroen: Hello Allan, it’s a pleasure to have you on Founder Coffee.

Allan: Yes, thank you your 7-minute cyber monday guide Jeroen, I am very happy to be here.

Jeroen: You are the co-founder of Klipfolio. For those who don’t know Klipfolio yet, what do you do?

Allan: We’re fortunate to have 11,000 amazing small and medium-sized businesses that are monitoring their sales, marketing, and support performance on Klipfolio. So we’re a real-time dashboard. A BI solution for people who don’t really have an IT team. We’re really trying to help SMBs get a real-time view of how their business is performing.

Allan: Yeah, I never really thought email leads database about it that way, but I think you’re probably right. But probably 80 to 85% of our revenue is on six to twelve month contracts, usually twelve months. But it’s still SaaS and we charge on a per-hire basis. Typically, companies tell us how many people they need to hire and that’s the main variable we base our pricing on.
